L’ABEILLE NOIRE DES PORQUEROLLES

Earlier this year we have been awarded a special commission – Festival Land Art au coeur des mediteranees - 1st Edition - South of France in the region of Rayol along with landscape architects Elinor Scarth and Etienne Haller.

“Departing on an extraordinary adventure our group of crafts men and women become shipwrecked on a magical beach with only some washed up supplies and the lush surroundings to survive. They go about rescuing themselves and begin to built an exquisite galleon from the flora and fauna and debris of the wreck.”

A special commission for a unique client. This new product has four removable legs with unique locking joinery, to allow a touch of elegance for the man on the move. Crystalline pattern where textures and geometry merge to reference the complex algorithms of the computer programmer owner.

Green Week at LCC 24HR Design Challenge

In collaboration with the London College of Communication we have hosted a spin-off of our 24HR Design Challenge open to all LCC students during the University’s annual Green Week. “A platform for showcasing current good practice, Green Week will see students, staff and guests collaborators utilize design and media thinking to unpick this year’s themes of waste, transport, consumption, biodiversity and water”. More information to come soon.

Green Week – 24HR Challenge Special

Our specially created 24HR Design Challenge “Evolve or Die” will see 25 participants across  LCC to pair in teams and creatively solve yet another design conundrum. Craftsmanship, Engineering, Up-cycling will all coexist in this 24HR Design race.

Winners – L’Abeille noire de Porquerolles

We are pleased to announce that we have been selected with our collaborative project “L’Abeille noire de Porquerolles” to take part in the next “Land art au coeur des Méditerranées” summer of 2013. Working along with Elinor Scarth and Etienne Haller, landscape architects we devised an ambitious sea/land project that is set in the magical gardens of Rayol – south of France.

We are so looking forward this trip!
